Trading Terms and Conditions

All bookings must be confirmed in writing with a purchase order number(s) for the agreed work. When commissioning work with Blue Concept Training you agree to abide by all our terms and conditions without exception.

Payment Terms

All fees are subject to VAT at the standard rate. Invoices will be issued on a monthly basis. Payment will be due 30 days after the invoice issue date. Failure to pay within this time period will evoke immediate withdraw of any discounts and the application of an additional late payment fee, calculated on 15% of the total invoice value. Should the invoice be unpaid beyond 40 days an additional late payment fee will be applied of £50 + vat per day, for every day over the standard 30 days payment date until the payment is credited to our account.

Cancellations will only be accepted in writing. Cancellation fees are applicable to the full value of a specified training programme calculated from commencement date:

• Long term commitment programme – see below.
• More than 45 days notice – Nil
• Less than 45 days and more than 30 days – 50%
• 30 days notice or less – 100%

In addition any unrecoverable costs will be passed on.

Cancellations – Long term commitment programme

A ‘long term commitment programme’ is defined as a training programme that is planned to be delivered over a four month period or more, and includes sixteen days training or more. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing. All work commissioned to take place in the subsequent 180 days following the cancellation date will be immediately chargeable including any unrecoverable costs.

Postponements are classed as cancellations unless rearranged dates can be made to enable the training to happen within 20 working days of the original training date. When a rearrangement is possible, any unrecoverable costs will be passed on. A course will only be rescheduled once; if the course fails to run on the rescheduled date it will be treated as a cancellation. When training is rescheduled an invoice will be raised and due for payment as if the programme was delivered on the original dates. In addition, any unrecoverable costs will be passed on.

Course Changes
Blue Concept Training reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course for reasons of illness or other causes and will advise the client as soon as this change is known. Blue Concept Training will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid changes of this nature. We will not be liable for any loss or expense that the client incurs arising out of such changes.
G.S.A. Physical Breakaway Intervention Training
Blue Concept Trainers are qualified General Services Association (G.S.A.) Tutors. Any G.S.A. training will be delivered inline with General Services Association standards and only techniques that that are in the current G.S.A. curriculum will be used.

Health Declaration
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that all participants attending any programme have no medical condition that precludes them from taking part and to check that the activities are suitable for all delegates’ capabilities. No pregnant women will be allowed to participate in physical training. Participant must complete a health declaration before participating in any physical training and this may preclude or change the level of participation allowed of specific individuals. The decision of the tutor in these matters is final.

Blue Concept Training hold Professional Liability Insurance that includes cover for physical intervention training.

The copyright and all other intellectual property rights in all course materials shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Blue Concept Training.

Course Outcomes
We endeavour to provide the very best in training to develop participants’ skills and safety awareness. However, we accept no future liability for individual behaviour, actions, loss, injury, third party injury or death as a result of our training. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that employees attend a relevant refresher course within the recommended time-period of the initial training.
