This programme is for education providers, you may work in a community project, prison, school,  college, university or an unemployment training organisation. You work with people who can be difficult to manage and exhibit challenging behaviour.

Tutors and trainers

The tutors and trainers will learn to manage conflict situations and deal with challenging behaviour so that everyone can benefit from the learning environment.

We look at the important stages of engagement and how staff can manage individuals so that the situation will remain calm. By understanding the varied causes of challenging behaviour it is possible to develop strategies to manage the behaviour. We look at ways that you can create new associations and anchor positive behaviour. Your staff will learn how to avoid taking the 'bait' and ways to defuse conflict using easy to learn techniques.

Personal safety

It is important that staff manage their environment in terms of the safety of the people in their charge and their personal safety. They will learn simple strategies and safety assessments that will keep them safe. Participants will learn a staggeringly simple, yet powerfully and effective technique to remain calm at all times.
